Tales from the Cube

When did blasting your music from your cubicle with no regard to co-workers become acceptable??? It's true - in 2011 I have a co-worker who has never heard of headphones. Today I have been treated to a playlist including Sugarland (do you know how bad this sounds across the room? BAD), Dave Matthews Band (Crash - TWICE), John Mayer, and other horrible pop-country. My ears are bleeding and I thought about putting on my ipod and drowning her tunes out, but my battery is almost gone. I turned on my desk fan to high and that seems to have done the trick. I'm waiting for her to turn up her volume to compete. If that happens it's all out war and I may have to say something to her...but it's going to be hard to not sound like a nut. Even if it was "good" music I think (very likely) I would still hate her for not turning it down.

the best is when they turn music on (in my case nondescript, but annoying techno) and then leave their office for a meeting....leave it for the rest of us to enjoy! GOOD TIMES
