Big announcement/hint/surprise!

Number one: I started a personal tumblr for more personal stuff, so probably my JOP posting might change or something. But this is the first/last/only time I'll mention my other, TOP SECRET, blog here, so make a note or forget about it forever.

Number two: JoP may be moving soon. Stay tuned!

Jokefest 2009 Continued: More Heidi and Spencer

I guess the reality show didn't work out! Here they are back at LAX.

PS: Why are they so funny????? There's something about these two that cracks me up every time. Could it be their astounding lack of self-awareness? Or that they pose in pictures with Rod Blagojevich and aren't totally laughing about it? From the looks on their faces, there's no irony in sight. If anything, they seem a little nervous and wound-up! Nor is there any/much ironic pleasure in the pushups picture. And now this! And I forgot about the swine flu pics! Keep 'em coming, guys!

Hey Andy:

Does any of this sound familiar?

"Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are causing all sorts of trouble on the set of "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" and the thing hasn't even really started taping yet. According to Ryan Seacrest, of all people, the duo have been whining and bitching since they landed in Costa Rica and have even taken to talking trash about the other "celebrities" on the show. They're even threatening to walk out on the show! Now, we're sure that this is just a stunt to drum up publicity for the show, but whatever, maybe we'll get lucky and Lou Diamond Phillips will beat them senseless with coconuts and bamboo or something." [Gawker]

Since Costa Rica is so small! Let us know if you spot anything CraZy!

This is for REAL!/Kanye

MTV's True Life aired today while I was at the gym. Don't forget that last part. Anyway, the show followed two couples who decided to elope and not tell anyone in their family. One couple met each other three weeks before getting engaged. Yikes. Now, they claimed they would not tell their families about the nuptials because they wanted to save money. At least that was their primary reason. But they also wanted to avoid hearing everyone tell them it was a bad idea. No kidding.

Two months prior the woman had broken up with her boyfriend of three years. Whoa! I guess he got tired of caring for her five-year-old daughter. What!? Not his kid? And the guy was recently divorced. OMG! Actual near quote from the dude (I was working out so I couldn't write it down): "I've never done anything crazy in my life. So this is good for me." A keg party is crazy. That doesn't make it something you should do for the rest of your life. A reason the woman gave to a marriage counselor for their plans: "We have really good conversations." Yeah, so do my neighbor and I. At least MTV made sure to show the pastor saying, "God wants you to have a good sex life."

Also, I'm watching Kanye West on VH1 Storytellers. These are some things he said. Again, I was only kind of listening so I didn't get the exact words, just the paraphrase: "My greatest pain is that I can never see me perform. You will have a pleasure I can never have." Also: "I am a vessel for God. He wants me to say more and more and more." Then: "OJ (Simpson): Amazing." Not sure about his reasoning there. At least he got this right: "We have a black and white president."
