I haven't followed
"the crazy pastor is going to burn the Koran on Saturday" much because it sounds ridiculous. However, I was forced to hear about it on NPR this morning. Yes, it's crazy and clueless, but why are they giving this guy so much media time? I know he's doing it on the anniversary of September 11th, but does that warrant this becoming an actual story? Not to get all Sarah Palin on you, but - isn't the "main stream media" making this guy a celebrity? Aren't there intolerant people all over this country every day? Why is this guy getting coverage?

AND as part of that, i doubt the guy really feels he "needs" to do this.
really he "needs" to put himself/his church on the map and maybe get a book deal or reality show out of it. it's funny when he acts all surprised about the publicity.
He only has 50 members in his church - anyone who riots because of this moron is in the same crazy camp as him....no excuse for terrorism based on the actions of a mentally challenged "priest", and no excuse for stupid ass stories like this. The "mainstream media" loves to spend time on stories that no one gives a shit about except soccer moms and grannies who think the world is ending. But that's the goal I guess. NPR has really been letting me down lately.
i thought this video did a really great job with the whole situation.
