The Stupidest Cabin

This must be the most ridiculous "On Location" the NYT has ever done.

"It may not have a bathroom or a kitchen, but it is a dream of Victoriana: stacks of Limoges china with tiny rosebud patterns; chandeliers dripping crystal; billows of tissue-paper garlands."

Yep, sounds pretty reasonable to me!

LOST fever

"I like it when we do group scenes. If you position yourself just right, you're not on camera that much and you get to just cut up and have fun most of the time. I've become quite an artist at positioning myself where I'm mostly just having fun on the set all day. I loved it when I got shot and was unconscious for, like, half a season because I was getting carried everywhere."
-Josh Holloway aka Sawyer

"I won't be doing any more television... I've done two six-year shows, about 300 hours of television. I'm done with that."
-Matthew Fox aka Jack

"It's been emotionally charged when cast members that you know and care about have gotten killed off or left the show or whatever. So with each person coming back, it's been a blast like, 'We made it to another season.' We have a reunion and laugh about things and have a Mai Tai and hang out on the beach. There was some talk of starting a pool among us to guess who would be killed off each year, but we decided that would be too depressing. It was like, 'Wow, I could be on that list.'"

Guess That Tweet: Local Edition!

These tweets are all from someone in Raleigh--can you figure out who s/he is?!?!?

Eating lunch in my car in WRAL parking lot. A plain piece of grilled chicken with no bun. Dull, but only chance I have to eliminate gut!

Thinking about my kids, and wondering how they grew up so fast! Guess I'll have to play with the stuffed animals by myself now!

Saying good night to our GP (guinea pig) Alvin.

Midnight bowling again, this time with my son Brandon and his girlfriend Angela. Here's hoping my lower back holds out!

Hey guys, remember this?

My flickr page lets me see what people have been viewing (but not who they are--don't worry!--even though i want to know that too) and somebody watched this yesterday. Which made me want to watch it! And it is really sweet. Watch in full-screen for maximum effect.

Deep Thoughts...with Ashton Kutcher

From NY Magazine:
“I’m always interested in aesthetic misconceptions,” Kutcher says. On one wrist, he wears wooden prayer beads kitted out with a diamanté Star of David charm and a red Kabbalah thread."
"Does this have anything to do with the red thread on his wrist? “I do study a lot of the teachings of Kabbalah. I read stuff. I read a lot. When I read Siddhartha, it moved me spiritually. I was like, Wow."

Found by someone in Spokane, WA

I just can't bring myself to link to Street Boners (sorry I'm just so ashamed of my like for Gavin McInnes and his post-Vice site is disgusting but I sort of like it ok I love it).

Quotable

"I'll be a soccer mom. Like Posh Spice. I'll be there in my heels cheering on my kids. 'Go, team, go!' But I'll have no idea what's going on." — Miley Cyrus, on where she'll be in 10 years.
