I resisted this story when I first read it...because it seemed pretty bogus. Today I found confirmation on People and it's kind of weirding me out. From 98 degrees to Smashing Pumpkins? I kind of think Joe "Papa" Simpson played a big part in this...per usual.

Who knew Darius Rucker was now a "country" "singer"? (I wish I could have found his CMA performance last night, but you get the idea.)
