Easter Bunny

I hope the Easter bunny was good to everyone. Maybe some families got new dogs? This year my basket was filled with some old favorites and some surprising new finds.

The oldies:

Cadbury Mini-Eggs: These things are my #1 pick and they never disappoint me. The melt in your mouth shell! The fact that I can eat 20 and not be sick of them! These are a real gift.

Cadbury Creme-Filled Eggs: An Easter staple, but unlike the mini-eggs, I can only eat 1 on Easter and then I'm set for the rest of the year.

The newbies:

M&M Premium Mocha & Raspberry Almond Flavors: Oh Mars. I read that to fight the recession M&M's wanted to come up with a way to make people feel like they were still able to afford luxury in their candy ...ta da! M&M Premiums were born. Cheap stunt you think? Yes. The Mocha was by far the better flavor. The Raspberry Almond tasted like cheap raspberry with an almond thrown in the middle. I'll take Peanut M&M's over that any day. The premiums definitely deliver a more satisfying flavor bite than the originals. Just make sure you like the flavor. Here's the other thing - the premiums looked like they've been dipped in gold/pink (depending on the flavor). They feel heavier, but it seems like that's just a result of the extensive outer coating. Very weird. I don't know if I'd buy them on my own.

Cadbury Mini-Eggs Royal Dark: Maybe these aren't "new", but I've never had them or seen them out before. What a delight! They have the same light candy shell as the originals just in a deeper hue, and the dark chocolate makes you feel like you're doing something for your health. Brilliant!

I also received some jelly beans, but isn't Easter about the chocolate?
