Weetzie Bat! Michael's birthday!

It should be no secret by now that I get a lot of "ideas" (aka steal stuff) from missbehave. They've topped themselves again and made a style guide that, for the letter W, has "Weetzie Bat." I couldn't be happier if they'd used "Winnie Titchener"!* Weetzie Bat shaped a lot of my lil' 14-year-old worldview and made me feel like I lived in a prettier place. Somehow it caught on at UNCW with Michael and Michael's crew, and I think he's the only boy I've known who has also appreciated what Weetzie Bat means to the world.

SPEAKING OF MICHAEL PEARCE...he's turning 25 today! Happy birthday ol' Michael!

Everyone's talking about Andy turning 25!! It couldn't happen to a nicer guy! Happy Birthday Andy!

Tribute Post: Andy "McGregor" Wales turns 25!

Well, this was supposed to go up earlier, but here it is:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY WALES!

Andy is new to the Jar of Paperclips team but he's an old friend to all of us in real life. I first met Andy at some point during 11th grade at Sanderson HS. My earliest memory of him is corroborated in the SHS yearbook and it involves an insane number of t-shirts worn all at once, making him look obese. Since then, I've really enjoyed knowing this guy. He even came to France and hung out for a couple weeks!

Susan and I thought we'd do a "favorite memories" thing and this is what we came up with: not many people were available for comment. But here's what fellow longtimer Jessica "J-dubs" Williams had to say:
